Climate change, Council charges and farmers financial survival

With the effects of climate change increasingly affecting our ability to farm produce successfully, plus the rising costs and decreasing returns, the now forecast increase in local council rate charges may well see some us unable to survive financially.

Farmers like all citizens have become slaves to governments, and if we are to continue to feed the nation in these challenging times, I believe we need to closely examine all our costs and especially those imposed by governments via their ever increasing taxes with their add on costs.

The local council rates we are forced to pay, on a "quid pro quo" (user pay) basis need special attention, for we receive very little services for the thousands of dollars we are annually forced to pay, as we provide our own house water and sewerage services and the local roads are funded primarily from state and commonwealth funds.

Governments have "lost their way," demanding more money whilst at the same time increasing the rules, regulations, levies and controls on and how we manage our land, thereby adding to the costs of production. And if we fail to pay up to their ever increasing demands, we are sold up by their "enforcers."

The truth of it is that it is an act of extortion enforced by the gun. And none of these "enforcers" are wise enough to see that the farmer is the "golden" goose that is now nearly out of "blood," with some of us likely to soon to sink into any mud that may appear if it rains.

For local council's, it is time to "cut the coat to suit the cloth" with their expenditure and to individually detail their services to each rate payer so that the rate payer can choose which services they wish to contract for with the council.

We at Pindari Herb Farm have chosen to heed our Creator's call, no longer submitting to the extortion demands of the local council as we endeavour to live as God commands. We advocate that any community support needed should be a free giving donation made by a person once they have earned an income, certainly we need to fund positive and educative community effort, but within the very Constitution of the controllers of this land (see letter 34 at the above web address), a person is given the guaranteed right to live by their religious belief and conscience.

Thus we should be free to live by God's Love one another Command, but this right however, has been "washed away" over the years by politicians and their enforcers who are arrogantly blind and totally ignorant of their own constitutional rules. They forget that no mandate of man or enacted "rule" that forces others to bow to their dictates has the consent of God, and as God's Law is applicable for every action of man, neither are they (Council staff or enforcers) above the real law of every land, being God's Law. (As you do is done unto you)

We ask the question of all: "Why 'vote in' and fund a person or an institution that rules you with a cruel stern fist, especially so when some of our funds are used to punish others and ourselves for non-compliance?" For by this merciless and un-loving act all are defiant of God's "Peace & love" Command and, God's: "As you do is done unto you" law imposes upon all an equal controlling and punitive return on an "eye for an eye" basis that all do suffer some time ahead as God's law is immutable.

For ages of time man has been "conned'' into believing that it is "dishonourable" to not pay rates or taxes to their "overlord." This has given the controlling institutions a "free hand" to spend our monies as and on what they please As already said, certainly we need to fund positive and educative community effort directly, be it schools, hospitals etc., but after having made a profit from our labours and in a manner that the individual so chooses. I for one do not wish to defy God and pay any "King's levy" that is then used to wage war upon others in my name.
